The wine has a beautiful dark, rich colour. An exceptionally complex wine with dark fruit and cloves on the nose. Full bodied, succulent and approachable. Tannins elegantly integrated.
All varieties of the blend were picked at optimal ripeness. Each component was harvested separately.
The components of the blend were seperately vinified and then completed malolactic fermentation. Barrel selection for the blend only occured after the 24 month ageing process in French oak - 33% new wood.
In the Cellar
Our wines are linked to a specific flower – the characteristics of the wine are symbolized by that particular flower on the label.
Geissorhiza radians (Wine Cup)
Geissorhiza is a large genus of small to medium corm bearing plants in the Iridaceae family. Geissorhiza radians is one of the most sought after having very attractive deep blue flowers with red centres. The Wine cup is our core flower representing the core-wine of our range The Affinity Blend.
