Cabernet Sauvignon 2009

A prominent nose of black cherries and blueberries in dark chocolate. A juicy palate full of deliciously dark fruit, blackcurrants and a hint of mint freshness. Firm but elegant tannins integrate seamlessly resulting in a lingering creamy finish.

Winemakers Notes

Only the grapes from specific vineyard sites at La Bri are used for this straight Cabernet Sauvignon. Yields are kept low: 6 tons/ha.

The Harvest

Malolactic fermentation took place in barrel. Matured for 24 months in 100% French oak of which 70% was new.

Watsonia alba is a very striking plant, with attractive foliage and gorgeous spikes of cup-shaped white flowers. Our Cabernet Sauvignon is a very pure and powerful wine much like the Watsonia alba.
