Affinity 2011

A beautiful rich garnet colour. An exceptionally complex wine with red cherries, cassis and fresh mushroom on the nose. Elegantly rich palate, succulent and approachable. Firm but elegantly integrated tannins with lingering spiciness.

Winemakers Notes

The components of this Bordeaux blend are picked at optimal ripeness and harvested separately.

The Harvest

The components were separately vinified and matured. Barrel selection for the blend occurred after 22 months of maturation of the individual components in French oak. 54% New.

Geissorhiza is a large genus of small to medium corm bearing plants in the Iridaceae family. Geissorhiza radians is one of the most sought after having very attractive deep blue flowers with red centres. The Wine cup is our core flower representing the core-wine of our range The Affinity Blend.
