Cabernet Sauvignon 2012

This is the first bottling of this Limited Release since the 5* 2009 vintage. Only 4200 bottles produced.

Winemakers Notes

Only the grapes from a specific vineyard site at La Bri are used for this classic Cabernet Sauvignon. Yields are kept low: 4-5 tons/ha.

The Harvest

Cold soak for 1 week before fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation took place in barrel. Matured for 24 months in 100% French oak (225L, 56% new).

In the Cellar

Each of our wines is linked to a specific flower- the characteristics of the wine are symbolized by that particular flower on the label.

Botanical Sketch

Watsonia alba is a very striking plant, with attractive foliage and gorgeous spikes of cup-shaped white flowers. Our Cabernet Sauvignon is a very pure and powerful wine much like the Watsonia alba.
