Affinity 2014

A beautiful ink black, dark plum colour. An exceptionally complex wine with smoky spice, cherry tobacco and hints of cedar oak on the nose. A rich full palate with firm tannins and lingering black fruit juiciness.

Winemakers Notes

The components of this Bordeaux blend are picked at optimal ripeness and harvested separately.

The Harvest

The components were separately vinified and matured. Barrel selection for the blend occurred after 23 months of maturation of the individual components in French oak. 41% New.

50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot
15% Cabernet Franc, 5% Petit Verdot

Geissorhiza is a large genus of small to medium corm bearing plants in the Iridaceae family. Geissorhiza radians is one of the most sought after having very attractive deep blue flowers with red centres. The Wine cup is our core flower representing the core-wine of our range The Affinity Blend.
