Affinity 2009

This wine is intensely dark and rich in colour – almost ink black. An exceptionally complex wine with black cherries, cassis and cloves on the nose. Full bodied, succulent and approachable. Firm but elegantly integrated tannins.

Winemakers Notes

The components of this Bordeaux blend are picked at optimal ripeness and harvested separately.

The Harvest

The components were separately vinified and matured. Barrel selection for the blend occured after 24 month of maturation of the individual components in French oak. 66% New.

Geissorhiza is a large genus of small to medium corm bearing plants in the Iridaceae family. Geissorhiza radians is one of the most sought after having very attractive deep blue flowers with red centres. The Wine cup is our core flower representing the core-wine of our range The Affinity Blend.
